We left Hautrieves and made our way down to the South of France. We decided to drive as much as we could in 2 days and get to Barcelona as quick as poss, we also needed to make up a couple of days after our lazy Easter weekend. To break up the journey we stopped off at the Pont du Gard (or Pont du rip-off should we say!?). We parked up the caravan and walked through the entrance and around to the amazing aqueduct. We spent an hour investigating all the different areas, walking up to view points, and walking out to see it from a far. We walked back to the caravan and paid for the car-€18 for an hour!!! What a rip! We thought it was too good to be true having not paid an entrance fee, this is obviously where they catch you out. We later found out it’s €18 for the day, so we probably should have made the most of it and spent a day there…oh well! It was really good to see it.
We spent the night it a nice campsite in Loupian, southern France.
My fave places in Barcelona
Parc Guell
Miro Gallery/Museum
MACBA off Ramblas
Picasso Museum
Gaudi Buildings
The Big Food Market off Las Ramblas has every kind of food imaginable and some!
You can buy a multi access ticket to get into some of these places which is much cheaper…as I discovered too late
Also the bus tour is great …you can get off anywhere for however long and back on again and don’t need to navigate your way around the city!
Im sure Charlie knows all of this already…so envious of you both..have fun xxxMum/Caryl
