We drove down the mountain from our campsite and into Bern. We walked around the lovely old town, cobbled curving streets with terraced buildings all painted in a dull olive colour. Arcades and arches ran under the buildings, and little shops and galleries popped up from underground, through shutters in the street. We’ve noticed that the Swiss love decoratively painting their buildings, some in a traditional style, others more modern. We crossed over the main bridge and came across a bunch of the bears by the river, a symbol of the city apparently. Ooo and Einstein lived in Bern once upon a time!
