This is how Lonely Planet described Lucerne and they weren’t wrong! We only spent a short time here, after visiting the caves, Ben was gutted as there was no time to walk the fortress at the top of the city!! But we had loads of fun walking over the bridges and running round the little streets admiring the hand painted houses and little shops!
