We ventured into Heidelberg today (recommended by Granny Ps friend!) and jolly nice it was too! Walked up the blooming steep hill to the castle, Ben made us explore every nook and cranny as per usual… we went up walls, in coves, down tunnels, and my map blew away on the castle terrace in to a group of American tourists, typical!

The Old town was pretty, lots of little streets with old houses in varying washed out colours with little shutters, then every now and again big churches popped up in large open squares.

A very pretty town, but very touristy! (To see more, check out the Flickr pics)

On to southern Germany/ Switzerland tomorrow…
